Shepherd James Carter was born September 5, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio. At the age of 15 he moved with his family to Flint, Michigan where he eventually graduated from Northwestern High School in 1975. He is a graduate of Southwestern Christian College, Terrell, Texas and has furthered his education by attending Amber University and Dallas Baptist University, Dallas, Texas. He has served in the Kingdom for over 25 years and has been a member of Metro since its beginning in 1989.

Currently employed with Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center and Tarrant Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, he also serves as an active volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas. A commitment to helping and serving others, a passion for leadership and a love for the advancement of God's kingdom is a life passion. He has dedicated his life to serving God and others, with a focus on counseling and mentoring our youth.

Shepherd Carter currently resides in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Shepherd Jesse Thompson II was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1953 to Jesse and Erma Thompson Sr. The fourth child out of twelve. He attend Booker T. Washington High School and later attended Langston University, Tulsa Junior College and Mississippi Valley State University where he major in Psychology. He served six years in the U. S. Army.

A few of his accommodations are Good Conduct Medal 1st and 2nd Award, Army Commendation Medal, Non-Commission Officer Professional Ribbon, Tulsa Jr. College Dean's List. He is the former pastor of God Kist Areas Community Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shepherd Thompson is involved in the Greetings and Prayer ministries as well as teaching Adult classes.

Shepherd and Mrs. Thompson have a beautiful blended family with seven children: Jesse III, Starya, DeAngelo, Sharece, Dwight, Chantel and Jessica. They have nine grandchildren.
